Quality Opal Doublets
A thin slice of lovely Lightning Ridge opal bonded onto natural boulder ironstone from our mines at Yowah. This backing will allow the opal doublet to be safely set into jewellery. When a gold or silver bezel setting is created, surrounding the opal, these doublets will look like a natural piece of solid opal.
A doublet generally is considered to be worth 10% of the same looking solid opal, meaning a saving of 90% in the "same looks" comparison.
All Opal doublets, are natural and have not been heat treated or enhanced in any way.
